Reasons Why Your Tree Is Dead
Trees, like people, won’t live forever. One reason that tree decay could occur is that the roots aren’t getting the proper nutrients to keep the tree alive. There could be a blockage near the roots that keep rain and other nutrients from reaching the base of the tree. Dry conditions could also result in tree damage, especially if the tree is not suited for an environment that is dry all the time. Salty soil could also lead to the demise of trees.
Pests can invade trees and cause them to die by robbing them of their nutrients. Some pests attack the root system while others invade the leaves and the branches. A catastrophic event could also kill a tree by uprooting it from the ground. Examples of these events include tornadoes and hurricanes. Trees are also killed by fires. Old age is another common reason as to why trees die.
